Who we are:
after a long search we were finally able to buy ourselves a lovely house on a great spot; along a monumental road, near the city centre, in a quiet and rural neighborhood with quite a long patch of garden.
Having an affinity for (and jobs in) health care and having worked in tourism brought us on to the idea of running a B&B, where we’d also be able to welcome guests who use a wheelchair.

Surroundings:
Staying at De Zes Wielen, you get the best of both worlds; close to the bustling city centre of Alkmaar and the serenity of the woods, dunes and beaches relatively close by.
Alkmaar is most commonly known for its folkloric cheese market held on one of the squares in the historic city centre. But Alkmaar has much more to offer; shopping, museums, boat trips and lively entertainment; bars, restaurants, theaters and the new cinema.
Egmond and Bergen beaches are only a 20 minutes drive away. Walking to Alkmaar-Noord railway station takes only 10 minutes, the train takes you to Amsterdam in about 30 minutes.
Our B&B is located in a beautiful environment which makes it an ideal take-off point for hiking and biking trips around the area.
